hdapsd software package provides HDAPS daemon for various laptops with motion sensors, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hdapsd
hdapsd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hdapsd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hdapsd *
You will get with hdapsd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
